Star Wars Table | Dark Side vs Light Side

For the Ultimate Star Wars fan!

Handcrafted Star Wars themed table with elements of woodworking, 3D printing, metal fabrication, airbrushing, and electronics. This table was touched by so many different people to create the most unique vision of what a Star Wars fan would want in their home.

Incredibly figured Black Walnut picked out from Willard Brothers was then put into a mold to start the epoxy process. A layer of Galactic Black Epoxy followed by my friend Mike airbrushing this scene into the table and Dave airbrushing each and every ship to highlight their details. Every ship was also 3D printed on my Bambu Lab X1C and had to be sized proportionately for the middle of the table. Next came the layer of clear epoxy to fill everything in and encapsulate the scene forever.

While waiting for the epoxy to cure, I began on designing these table legs that would have led's built into each leg and powered by a portable battery underneath the table. Once I had my design, I took my drawing over to my friend Russel where he cut out every component on this Plasma Laser that funny enough resembled a light saber cutting through solid steel! He welded every thing together and I then took it over to my friend AJ to powder coat the legs in a galactic sparkle finish that resembled the galaxy.

Next I tested multiple different diffusers with my led's to get the look of the Death Star lighting on the walls. I settled on 1/8" HDPE that gave a nice bright white glow. After gluing in my diffuser and getting my lights set in to place, I routed all the cords underneath the table with Velcro to make any cord look invisible. The last thing you would want is a cord running on the floor. And that is why I opted for a portable battery to be velcroed underneath the table that can be peeled off to charge when needed!

This project was about a year of thinking and doing and trying to create the best possible Star Wars table out there. Many different hands have touched this table to create 1 unique project that even exceeded my expectations and made many new relationships with my work. I have many more ideas like this and hope to create some more like it!

Thank you to Mike, Dave, Russel, AJ, Dad, Tobias, Alex , Tim and Becky for making this all possible.

Handcrafted in Sewell NJ for my friends in Southampton NJ.
